PRINCE SALMAN IBN ABDUL AZIZ: ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF PEACE AND TOLERANCE, IT IS THE DUTY OF EVERY SANE PERSON TO REJECT EXTREMISM. PRINCE ABDUL RAHMAN IBN ABDUL AZIZ AND PRINCE KHALID IBN SULTAN VISIT THE ARMED FORCES AND PATRONIZE GRADUATION CEREMONIES. Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Riyadh region, patronized the awards ceremony for educational achievements of girls and boys in secondary education in both sciences and literature departments. Upon arrival at the venue, Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz accompanied by Prince Ahamd Ibn Fahd Ibn Salman was received by the Minister of Education and a number of officials. A ceremony was held on the occasion. Then, Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Riyadh region, delivered a speech in which he expressed happiness to attend this celebration. Prince Salman emphasized the important role of the graduates in building the countries as did their fathers and ancestors. Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz noted that one of the most important issues either in the governmental sector or the national sector is the availability of experience and specialization through which the person can present to his homeland and fellow citizens the required service. "We live in a world where no person can work unless he has got the experience and knowledge because you can not give what you do not have. So, our young people, either men or women, should acquire the experience and the knowledge which enable them to perform their duties," Prince Salman said. Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz urged all Saudi sons and daughters to work hard in order to acquire knowledge and experience and to be good example to the following generations in order to serve the country, the citizens and the religion. Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is blessed with Islam and secondly with security and stability, and God will increase his blessing if we cherish them but they would be taken away if we do not recognize God's blessings. In his speech Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz said Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance, it is the duty of every sane person to reject religious extremism. God has ordered people not to exceed the bounds of what is proper. Excess is known not to produce good. Likewise, it is the duty of the sane to reject calls by those seeking, under the pretext of religion, to spread misinformation and confusion. Those who spread this drivel mean to plunge society into chaos by having the family disintegrate and youth led into depravity. There are those who find no wrong in saying one thing while in fact meaning something else, cloaking truth with falsehood and right with wrong. They work on an agenda of no benefit to society, country or the larger Muslim nation. Prince Salman emphasized the role of teachers and educators in fighting these evil ideas and said that ignoring them and not correcting them would lead in a way or another to damaging this country and its youth, whether boys or girls. He also urged them to pay special attention to the needs and worries of youth. "Their needs are not limited to sports and recreation. But we should be keen to correct their beliefs and thoughts," he explained. From his side the Minister of Education said that illiteracy has fallen from 30 % to 15 %. The Minister pointed to the development of education programs according to international standards. The Minister talked about teachers training adding that around 100 thousand teachers received training last year. On the other hand Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region, patronized the ceremony of the seventh batch of 244 doctors and pharmacists who graduated from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialization. At the venue, Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz was received by Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Ibn Abdullah Al-Manei, who is also Chairman of the Commission's Board of Trustees, and other officials. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Prince Salman expressed his happiness that this great number of graduates will work at hospitals to occupy high posts and to serve their country, noting that the government has been continually providing the health field with all its requirements. Prince Salman indicated that there is a directive to complete and operate Riyadh-based King Fahd Medical City by the end of this year. The Prince noted that honor was bestowed by Almighty Allah on the Kingdom to serve Islam, the Holy Quran and Sunnah (Tradition). Prince Salman handed over certificates to the graduates. The ceremony was attended by Prince Saud Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Chief of General Intelligence, Prince Nawaf Ibn Faisal Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, Vice General President of Youth Welfare and a number. On another scale Prince Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, patronized the graduation ceremony of the 17th batch of King Fahd Naval College in Jubail. Escorted by Prince Mohammed Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of the Eastern Region, Prince Abdul Rahman was received, upon arrival at the venue, by Staff Major General Prince Fahd Ibn Abdullah Ibn Mohammed, the Commander of the Eastern region Staff Major General Sourour Ibn Mohammed Al Harbi and the Commander of the Naval College Brigadier General Khaled Ibn Ali Al Hamdan and senior commanders of the naval forces. The ceremony started with readings from the Holy Quran then a speech ceremony was held to mark the occasion. The Commander of the Naval College delivered a speech in which he said that besides graduates from the college there are graduates from the borders guards and from the GCC members states, from Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait. At the end of his speech he addresses his thanks to the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its support to the college and for the care the armed forces receives from Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General. He stressed that graduates should be faithful and exerts all efforts to serve their country and nation. Then one of the graduates delivered a speech on behalf of his colleagues and said through three years of training they have learnt many values atop of which love of the country and defending it. He praised the education they received and the care accorded to them by the government of the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, his entrusted Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard and Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General. The parade then started and the commander of the graduates delivered the flag to the next group. The names of the achievers were announced and Prince Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz handed over the certificates and prizes to the graduates. The ceremony was attended by a number of high-ranking officers. Prince Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, left Jubail. At Jubail Naval Forces airport, he was seen off by Prince Mohammed Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of the Eastern Region, and senior officials. The ceremony started with readings from the Holy Quran then the Commander of King Faisal College delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Prince Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General. He pointed out that the graduates had spent four years at the college and achieved distinctive results and high level trainings. He also praised the unlimited support provided by Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General to the students and the college. At Al-Ahsa regional airport, he was seen off by Prince Badr Ibn Mohammed Ibn Jelawi, the Governor of Al-Ahsa and a number of senior officials and dignitaries. Prince Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, patronized the graduation ceremony of the 62nd batch of King Abdul Aziz Military Academy in Al'Oyeynah, some 60 kilometers west of Riyadh. During the event, those who spent 25 years in the service of KAMA were also honored. The ceremony was attended by a number of princes, armed forces branch commanders, senior officials, defense attachés accredited to the Kingdom and parents of the graduates. Prince Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, had arrived in the Eastern Region coming from Riyadh. He was received at King Abdul Aziz air base in Dhahran by Prince Mohammed Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of the Eastern Region; other princes and senior officials. Prince Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, patronized a graduation ceremony of the 45th batch of students of the Dammam-based Technical Studies Institute for Marine Forces. Prince Abdul Rahman arrived at the Institute accompanied by Prince Mohammed Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of the Eastern Province. He was received by Commander of Marine Forces Lieutenant General Prince Fahd Ibn Abdullah Ibn Mohammed. In an address at the ceremony, the Institute's Commander Major General Engineer Abdul Aziz Ibn Mohammed Al-Darweesh said the graduates had pursued academic studies in 14 specializations during their three-year course. Prince Khalid Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, visited the Imam Faisal Ibn Turki group in the Northern region Prince Khalid was received by the Commander of the Land Forces Staff General Hussein Abdullah Al Qabil, the Commander of the Northern region Staff Major General Zabn Ibn Tulayhan Al Harbi, the Commander of the tank corps Staff major General Khalid Ibn Bandar Ibn Abdul Aziz and a number of high ranking officers. A ceremony was held on the occasion and a Prince Khalid watched maneuvers and parachuting. Then he delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness to attend the event and said special forces were given special care according to the directives of Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General so that these forces are separated from the land forces. Prince Khalid went on to say that a special commission under his supervision was formed. Prince Khalid Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, also visited the armors corps institute in the north western region. A ceremony was held and Prince Sultan listened to a brief on its training programs. Prince Khalid Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, patronized the graduation ceremony of the 18th batch of the Secondary Industrial Institute and those who completed training courses at the center of studies and industrial training. He also granted certificates of merit to those who completed 25 years in the service of the Military Industries Institute. Prince Khalid was received by Chief of Staff General Salih Ibn Abdullah Al-Mohayya, the Director General of Military Industries General Engineer Mohammed Al Fah Al-Faisal and the Commander of Prince Sultan Air base Staff Major General Said Al Haznawi and the Under Secretary of the Governorate Mussaed Al Salem and other senior officers. Then Prince Khalid opened the 16th Industrial Expo and was briefed on its contents. Prince Khaled Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, paid a visit to the first Marines Battalion and the Naval Special Security Detachment. At the venue, Prince Khalid was received by a number of military and civil officials. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. Addressing the forces, Prince Khaled said that the Naval Forces along with other security sectors are working to defend their holy places and the country and to provide security to citizens, praising the unlimited support provided to the armed forces by the Saudi leadership. Prince Khalid Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, also patronized the graduation ceremony of the Institute of military survey and geography in Riyadh. Prince Khalid was received at the venue by the Chief of the General Staff Saleh Ibn Ali Al Mohaya, the Director of the general department for military survey Staff General Murei Ibn Hassan Al Shaharani and the Commander of the Institute Staff Major General Abdul Aziz Ibn Ibrahim Al Ubaida. The ceremony stated with readings from the Holy Quran and the Commander of the Institute delivered a speech on its foundation and said a number of officers from the GCC member states are taking part in training sessions. The speech of the graduates was delivered and the results were announced. Prince Khalid Ibn Sultan presented the certificates and at the end of the celebration wrote a note in the guest book. |
