The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz received Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahayan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the accompanying delegation.

King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz welcomed Sheikh Khalifa and his accompanying delegation in their second country, wishing them good stay. On his part, the UAE president thanked the monarch for his warm welcome and generous hospitality.

King Fahd and Sheikh Khalifa reviewed the overall situations at the Gulf, Arab, Islamic and International arenas, notably the Palestinian cause and the situation in Iraq.

They also discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields.

On the UAE side, the reception was attended by Sheikh Khalifa's official delegation.

The party was attended by Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Miteb Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs; Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Ahmed Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Interior; other princes, ministers and senior civil and military officials.

Sheikh Khalifah Ibn Zayed Al-Nahyan, the President of the Untied Arab Emirates (UAE), has reiterated his country's condemnation of recent terror attacks perpetrated against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement to SPA on the occasion of his current visit to the Kingdom, Sheikh Khalifah said the visit embodies the existing fraternal relations between the Kingdom and the UAE.

He highlighted the big strides made by the Kingdom in various developmental spheres under the wise Saudi leadership.

He expressed hope that his talks in the Kingdom would positively contribute to further enhance bilateral relations and serve Arab and Muslim causes.

"Within the framework of the policy set by the late Sheikh Zayed Ibn Sultan Al-Nahyan, the Former President, the UAE is keen on coordination and consultation with other GCC states," Sheikh Khalifah said, adding that 'we are keen on cementing our relations with the Kingdom'.

He pointed out that he will review with Saudi officials bilateral relations as well as the latest developments at the Arab and international arenas, notably aspects of coordination for combating terror crimes in addition to the situation in Palestine and Iraq and other issues of mutual interest.

The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), arrived in Riyadh coming from Jeddah and was received at Riyadh air base by Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard; Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; other princes; Mohammed Ibn Abdul Rahman Al Tibaishi, Undersecretary of the Royal Court; and Saudi Ambassador to the UAE Dr. Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz Al Muammar, and senior government officials.

Sheikh Khalifah Ibn Zayed Al-Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), left Jeddah for Riyadh within the framework of his current visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He was seen off at King Abdul Aziz International Airport by Prince Abdul Majeed Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Makkah region, and a number of senior officials.

Sheikh Khalifa and accompanying delegation arrived in Jeddah en route to Makkah Al Mukkaramah.

Prince Abdul Majeed Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Makkah Region, held a banquet in honor of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa Ibn Zayed Al Nahayan and his accompanying delegation.

The banquet was attended by Prince Faisal Ibn Abdul Majeed Ibn Abdul Aziz, Dr. Fahd Ibn Abdul Rahman Balghunaim, the Minister of Agriculture, and a number of officials.

Concluding a state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Khalifa Ibn Zayed Al Nahayan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), left Riyadh.

Saudi ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Dr Abdullah Al Muammar highlighted the importance of the visit of Sheikh Khalifah Ibn Zayed Al-Nahyan, the President of the UAE to the Kingdom, and said it is the first visit of Sheikh Khalifah abroad since his assumption of power in the United Arab Emirates.

"The visit embodies the existing fraternal relations between the Kingdom and the UAE," he said.

The Ambassador lauded the significant role played by the late Sheikh Zayed Ibn Sultan Al-Nahyan , the Former President of the UAE, in cementing Saudi-UAE relations.

On the other hand Lebanese Premier Omar Karami and the accompanying delegation arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Lebanese Premier was welcomed at Riyadh Airbase by Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Riyadh region, and a number of senior officials.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the latest developments in the Middle East particularly the peace process in the region and joint cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State and Cabinet's Member for Shoura Council Affairs Dr. Saud Al-Muthami and Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Abdul Aziz Khojah.

In Yemen the activities of the Saudi universities week were launched in the presence of Yemeni Prime Minister Abdel-Kadir Bajamal and Saudi Minister of Higher Education Dr Khalid Al-Anqari and the accompanying delegation as well as Yemeni Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Abdul Wahab Rawah and a number of ministers and officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Bajamal , who returned to Sanaa from the Kingdom after a recent visit, said he had reviewed with the Saudi officials several including the subject of education. Bajamal highlighted the strong bonds that link the Arabs.

Prime Minister Abdul-Qader Bajamal said the Yemeni-Saudi ties are getting deeper and deeper as time goes on.

"The gathering of elite of scholars and intellectuals in Sana'a today is a wonderful manifestation of a cultural integrity that has no limits," he said.

"Regional gatherings have to be moments of discerning our common causes and setting up further economic and political ties in precedence of joining globalization."

He recalled a number of efforts for restructuring higher education and enhancing the quality of education for undergraduates. "Universities in our two countries are bound to fulfill the enlightening process and preservation of the heritage.

Prime Minister Abdul-Qader Bajamal met with the Saudi Higher Education Minister Khalid Ibn Mohammad Al Anqari.

In the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, especially in the higher education and scientific research field. They confirmed the importance of visits exchange and making use of the two counties' experiences in this respect.

The meeting shed light on creating communication between the Yemeni universities and their Saudi counterparts and the centers of researches in the both counties.

Bajamal highly appreciated the cultural activities of the Saudi universities held in the Yemeni universities, affirming the importance of such activities to enhance the brotherly ties.

For his part, Al Anqari pointed out to the common desire to enhance the cooperation between the two counties, making it clear that the scientific and cultural cooperation between the two counties is natural reflection of good brotherly relations between the two neighbours.

Mohammed Ibn Mirdas Al Qahtani, the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, held a banquet in honor of the Higher Education Minister Dr. Khalid Ibn Mohammed Al Anqari and the accompanying delegation.

Dr. Al Anqari 's visit came to participate in the scientific and cultural days of the Saudi universities held under the Yemeni universities sponsorship.

The banquet was attended by Dr. Abdul Wahab Rawih, the Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research; diplomatic corps members accredited to Yemen; and a number of officials.

Saudi Minister of Higher Education Dr Khaled Al Anqari, after launching the Saudi universities Week in Sanaa, said cooperation exists in the field of scientific research between Saudi and Yemeni universities.

He hoped that cooperation in this respect would further be expanded in future. Dr Al Anqari said it would be possible to enhance cooperation between the Saudi and Yemeni universities in numerous spheres such as research in the field of palm trees and marine environment.

He pointed out that Yemeni Prime Minister Abdel Qadir Bajamal, at the inaugural ceremony of the Saudi universities week yesterday, underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation between Hassa-based King Faisal University and Hadramout University in the field of palms trees, and in the field of marine environment between the Jeddah-based King Abdul Aziz University and Al-Hudeidah University in Yemen.

On his part, Yemeni Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Abdul Wahab Rawah reiterated the keenness of his country on enhancing cooperation with the Kingdom in the field of scientific research.

Yemeni Charity Foundation of Taibah will hold, in cooperation with Yemeni Ministry of Public Health, four surgical camps in Al-Hudaidah city from December 18 to 30.

A Saudi Medical team, consisting of a number of Saudi surgeons, will carry out operations in 4 specialties in children deformation.

The Director of Taibah foundation, Raad Qasim, told "The 26th of September" newspaper that this camp is the sixteenth and come after the success of visiting doctors program in which a number of Saudi doctors participated.

He added that the foundation organized so far 15 surgical camps and 100 Saudi doctors participated in these camps.
