KING ABDULLAH AND CROWN PRINCE SULTAN DELIVER A JOINT SPEECH ON THE ADVENT OF THE BLESSED MONTH OF RAMADAN.
THE HOLY MONTH BECAME AN ISLAMIC INTERNATIONAL FEATURE IN THE EAST AND WEST OF THE EARTH.
RAMADAN ENHANCES UNITY, SOLIDARITY, RELATIONSHIPS, GOOD FEELINGS AND LOVE.


The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General have delivered a speech congratulating Muslims on the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan and wishing them many happy returns.

The speech was read on radio and television by Minister of Culture and Information Iyad Ibn Amin Madani.

They noted that Ramadan is the holy month of mercies and blessings. Ramadan enhances unity, solidarity, relationships, feelings and love.

It builds the Muslim society based on high morality, they said. The speech stressed that this holy month becomes an Islamic international feature in the east and west of the earth. The whole world has known great lessons learnt by Muslims in this month particularly man's affection towards others. Fasting leads to arouse all humanitarian meanings, which are some of the religion's features, it added.

Concluding the speech, they said, '' We pray to Almighty Allah to help us in fasting and praying in this holy month.''

King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; and Crown Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz; congratulated the Saudi people and the Arab and Islamic nations.

King Abdullah called on the Arab and Islamic nations to work hard for the benefit and mutual support of the Islamic Ummah.

Earlier, the Higher Judicial Council confirmed the start of fasting month of Ramadan as of October 4, in a statement issued by the Royal Court through the Saudi Press Agency.

In the same release, the Ministry of Culture and Information extended its best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General and other members of the Royal family, the Saudi people and Muslims everywhere.
